Habitual Health

      Our Food Philosophy

At Habitual Health we believe in using gluten free, plant based and certified organic ingredients that will serve to nourish your body and fuel your day.
We understand that you have a busy life and grabbing quick healthy food can be a challenge. We want to work with you to eliminate that challenge by providing products that are nutrient dense, convenient, organic, fresh, flavorful and free of several of the top allergens.

      Nutrient Dense Foods

We use the addition of super foods and the integration of optimal ingredients and methods of preparation to ensure that our prepared foods are loaded with nutrients. Relevant soaking, sprouting, preparation and fermentation practices are used to maximize the availability of nutrients; this allowing for maximum absorption and utilization of these vitamins and minerals by your body.

      Fats & Sugars

We use only plant-based healthy fats that include nuts and seeds and cold-pressed hemp, olive and coconut oil. These cold-pressed oils are used in a very low quantity and never heated. We only use raw coconut flower nectar as an added sweeter with the remainder of sugars occurring naturally. Raw coconut flower nectar has a low Glycemic Index and naturally contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients.

All of our products are prepared for you and packaged in eco-friendly compostable packaging. You can save time on shopping, meal prep, cooking and clean-up. Our meals are fresh, never frozen, resulting in a decreased time for re-heating (if required). The majority of our provisions are meant to remain in the raw state and items that are intended to be reheated are best heated for a short duration in order to preserve the nutritional profile of that food.

Our fresh products are free from the below 7 common food allergens:

ALLERGEN STATEMENT: We do use tree nuts (walnuts, almonds, cashews, macadamia) coconut and sesame in several of our products as a source of healthy fats.

We use only glass bottles for our juices and drinks, biodegradable plant derived packaging for our salads, snacks and mains and biodegradable kraft labels for packaging to reduce on waste. All glass bottles returned are cleaned, sanitized and re-used.

      Organic & Local Commitment

Organic farming practices are far reaching and contribute to healthier soil, improved water quality, more biodiversity, climate change mitigation and healthier farmers.

We are committed to ensuring that the food we produce is free from harmful pesticides, herbicides, chemicals (such as preservatives and additives) and GMO's. As such over 95% of the ingredients that we source are certified organic.

We are committed to supporting local growers by purchasing the majority of our produce from local farms that employ organic growing practices.

      Our Meal Plans

We've formulated 5 different meal plans to accommodate various nutrient demands. From our basic 3 meals per day plan to our 6 meals per day plan for those requiring a higher caloric intake. Custom meal plans can be developed for you that integrate Habitual Health provisions (please see the Nutrition section.) The option also exists to choose individual items / a la carte from our online store by going to the shop feature.
